Duke just tacked on its biggest name yet in a stacked 2026 recruiting class.
Autumn Fleary, a 5-star point guard from the Washington, D.C., area, announced her commitment to the Blue Devils on social media Saturday afternoon, choosing Duke out of a top four that also included North Carolina, LSU and UCLA. Fleary is currently a senior at Sidwell Friends School, the same school that Blue Devil head coach Kara Lawson attended for her freshman year of high school.
Fleary is ESPN’s No. 12-ranked player in her class, the highest pickup of the year for Duke. The 5-foot-7 guard brings some serious offensive creativity and USA Basketball experience to a Blue Devil roster that has looked stronger every year. Now, with this class coming in, Lawson has made clear that she doesn’t plan on slowing down.
Fleary joins an already-strong group headed to Durham next season. Five-star guard Bella Flemings announced her plan to attend Duke less than a week ago, and 4-stars Sanai Green and Taylor Sofilkanich each committed in early May.
