Keymaster4-Star EDGE Joseph Mupoyi to visit Auburn Tuesday
The Auburn Tigers will be hosting 4-star EDGE Joseph Mupoyi on an unofficial visit this Tuesday.
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound prospect from Archbishop Carroll in Washington D.C. is coming from an official visit with the Michigan Wolverines.
The 2023 EDGE recruit recently spoke with Auburn Live. He said, “First, I want to see the coaches and talk to the (edge coach Roc Bellantoni ) and the head coach, I want to talk to him. I’ve just text on the phone with him. It’s my first time there, I want to see everything.”
Bryan Harsin getting face time with Mupoyi will be huge as it will be his first visit with the Auburn Tigers. He was at the Penn State Auburn game last season.
He will visit Penn State and Virginia Tech after he sees what the Tigers have to offer. Mupoyi plans to be an early enrollee wherever he chooses to play at the next level.

One of the more intriguing developmental prospects in the class of 2023 has a new home.
Edge rusher Joseph Mupoyi will spend the fall as a post-grad prospect at Oakdale (Conn.) St. Thomas More, which is of interest to a bunch of schools.
The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Mupoyi told 247Sports he was in contact with Auburn, Penn State, Michigan, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Rutgers and Boston College.
“Recruiting is going pretty good,” he said.
Mupoyi finished his career at Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll and is set to enroll at St. Thomas More later this month.
He arrived in the United States three years after growing up in the Congo. He began his time at Archbishop Carroll as a basketball player, but he quickly made the move to the football field and caught the attention of plenty of programs.
“After five or six months, I started playing football,” Mupoyi told 247Sports last fall. “I came here for the school. You go to school here and get to a great college, great education.”
