Quincy Allen, a former Syracuse basketball recruiting target in the 2021 class, has entered the NCAA’s transfer portal, according to media reports and recruiting services.
The 6-foot-8 Allen, a guard/forward from Washington, D.C., has been suiting up for Colorado out of the Pac-12 Conference. Allen took a redshirt in the 2021-22 season.
During his freshman campaign in the recently completed 2022-23 stanza for the Buffaloes, Allen wasn’t a significant contributor. Per ESPN, he appeared in just 11 games, averaging 4.1 minutes and 1.6 points per game while connecting on 29.2 percent from the field, 20.0 from beyond the arc, and 50.0 percent from the free-throw line.
Colorado didn’t have a great 2022-23 term, going 18-17 overall and losing in the NIT’s second round to Utah Valley, 81-69, at home.
