The Thanksgiving holiday has always been about three things: Family, food, and football.
There was a big game on Thursday in the district. The Turkey Bowl is in the spotlight, which is the championship game for D.C. Public Schools.
It turned into a classic between the Coolidge Senior High School Colts and the Dunbar High School Crimson Tide.
Early in the game, it appeared Dunbar was going to run away with it, building a 14-0 lead.
The Colts, however, mounted a comeback and in the fourth quarter made the big decision to go for the two-point conversion attempt after making it 14-13. It proved to be the difference in the game.
