St. John’s Names New Head Football Coach
St. John’s College High School made the following announcement last week:
Pat Ward ’93 has been promoted to athletics dean. As dean, he will manage the Athletics Department operations and staff, including the directors of athletics for boys and girls. He will continue coaching in the football program as the run game coordinator. We congratulate Coach Ward and thank him for decades of service to his alma mater!

Terrance Byrd has been promoted from associate head football coach to head football coach. Congratulations, Coach Byrd!
“I am extremely honored to accept the position of Head Coach of the St. John’s College High School Varsity Football Program and Assistant General Manager,” Byrd said via Instagram. “In order to continue the rich tradition of excellence and prepare this team to once again compete against the nation’s top programs, we have selected some of the very best coaches in the country to complete my staff. Grateful for these men joining me on this journey back to the top, serving the young men of St. John’s and teaching this amazing game. Leaders LEAD!
