Montgomery College Baseball Heading to the NJCAA World Series

The Montgomery College Raptors Baseball Team just won the 2024 NJCAA Region 20 DII Championship.

Declaring a Region 20 Champion took three games in just over 24 hours, and the Raptors will now travel to Enid, Oklahoma to compete in the 2024 NJCAA DII World Series.

Coach Dan Rascher could have the best college baseball program in the area, at least on the junior college level. In addition to this year’s success, Coach Rascher has led the Raptors to Nine (9) NJCAA Division III World Series appearances, including a trip to the national championship in 2009.

In 2019, the program moved to the more competitive Division II level, and this year is the first time the Raptors have qualified for the NJCAA Division II World Series. Heading into the weekend, Frederick CC was 49-6 and the No. 6 team in the country before facing Coach Rascher’s squad. Facing elimination, MC defeated Frederick twice in doubleheader Monday to advance.

The 2024 NJCAA Division II World Series stars May 25 and runs through June 1st in Enid, Oklahoma.
