Syracuse has named its first new men’s basketball head coach since 1976. He’s another alum.
Adrian “Red” Autry, 51, will supplant Jim Boeheim after the athletic department announced the Hall of Fame coach is done after 47 seasons at the helm.

Autry has been an assistant coach with the Orange for a dozen years. ESPN ranked him No. 5 on its list of top assistant coaches 40 and under one season into his tenure with Syracuse in 2012.
