For Cedric Kouemi, the last few months have been a whirlwind. The Bullis School (Md.) running back, one of the top backs in the Class of 2026, announced his commitment to the University of Cincinnati back on June 26th. With his future set, he can now focus on closing out his high school career healthy, productive, and ready for the next level.
Kouemi said the choice came down to relationships.
“Once I got my offer, they were constantly texting me, asking how my day was,” Kouemi said. “We’d chop it up on FaceTime. Coach Leach is younger than most coaches, which is why we connected over talking music and football. My relationship with Coach Doc, the running backs coach, grew a lot over time. My official visit is when it all came together.”
