Carroll Names New Head Football Coach
Longtime Carroll coach Derian Quick has been named the program’s new head coach for the 2024 season. The school made the announcement Thursday afternoon on its website. Former H.D. Woodson and Washington Redskins wide receive Joshua Morgan will be the team’s offensive coordinator and assistant head coach. Coach Derian Quick was born and raised in the DC Metro area. He is married to Nicole Quick and the father of Dayon and Griffin Quick. He attended Frederick Douglass High School and graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Coach Quick’s objective is to build on traditions at Archbishop Carroll Catholic High School. he will foster a culture of respect, effort, accountability, and love that focuses on the whole player, both on and off the field. His goal is to build relationships with coaches, players, administration, and the community that will help student-athletes improve and maintain high academic standards, develop athletic skills, and progress into more productive citizens in society. The cornerstone of his program will be for God and Country.
Coach Quick has been coaching since 2011 and at Archbishop Carroll since April 2015. He has held multiple positions including 8th Grade Academy Cubs Head Coach, Hudl Coordinator, Junior Varsity Linebackers, Junior Varsity Defensive Coordinator, Junior Varsity Assistant Head Coach, Varsity Linebackers, Varsity Defensive Coordinator, and Varsity Assistant Head Coach.
