IAC, WCAC Lacrosse Will Face Off in June

The IAC and the WCAC will face off in an end-of-the-year tournament on the lacrosse field. Four teams have been invited (see below) to participate from both the IAC and WCAC. The championship event will be broadcast LIVE on Eleven Sports, Lacrosse Sports Network, and CSE’s social media channels. Medstar Health will serve as the event’s presenting sponsor.

Andy Biello, Vice President of Events at CSE, said “Corrigan Sports is excited to help bring together teams from the IAC and WCAC. High School lacrosse in the DC area is unique because there are two tradition-rich leagues but historically they have not competed for the same title. This event creates a true DC Championship opportunity for these outstanding programs. It should make for great lacrosse and intense competition.”

Quarterfinal games will take place on June 3rd at host schools and the semi-finals and championship will take place at a neutral-site on June 8th and 11th, respectively.

Jeff Bellistri, Head Coach at Bullis, said “The District has some of the top programs in the entire country and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to play for a true DC Championship. Having a team of sports marketing professionals, in Corrigan Sports is incredibly important for the success and longevity of this culminating event. We can’t wait to get on the field alongside our fellow D.C schools.”
