Players of the Week

WCAC: Wes Brown, Good Counsel
In the biggest league game of the weekend, Brown carried the ball 17 times for 150 yards and three touchdowns. The 6-foot sophomore has 1,084 yards rushing on the season and 13 touchdowns.

IAC: Landon Offensive Line
In Landon’s 31-8 victory over Bullis, eight different Landon running backs rushed for a combined 233 yards and two touchdowns, including a game-high 77 yards on the ground by senior back Joe Paoletta.

MAC: Jake Genachowski, Maret
His number may not have been the most impressive of the weekend, but Genachowski completed 12 of 18 passes for 124 yards, including the game-winning touchdown pass in the third quarter as Maret knocked off a previously unbeaten Potomac School team.

DCIAA: Olu Izegwire, Dunbar
Izegwire was instrumental in Dunbar’s victory over Coolidge. The sophomore caught two passes for 37 yards, rushed the ball nine times for 46 yards and scored both of Dunbar’s touchdowns.

MoCo: Jimmy Hessler, Northwood
In Northwood’s 44-8 victory over Kennedy, Hessler completed 17 of 25 passes for 247 yards and five touchdowns as Northwood picked up their third win of the year.
