Gloster Narrows List to Three
by Kenny Robinson 8/11/2009

Troy Gloster Video Highlights

On a defense stacked with Division I talent, Good Counsel linebacker Troy Gloster remains one of the big names that remains uncommitted. With over 12 offers on the table, the 6-foot, 215-pound outside linebacker has recently named a top three that has become somewhat different from his earlier thought process.

“My top three, in no order, is West Virginia, Stanford and Michigan," Gloster said. "I’m not too concerned with pulling in any more offers. It has been a blessing to receive this type of recruiting attention, but it would be nice, of course. Throughout the whole process I’ve built the strongest relationship with Coach Casteel, the linebackers coach from West Virginia. Stanford obviously is a great academic school, and Coach Harbaugh is doing wonderful things. And obviously it would be an honor to play at Michigan with all of the tradition in Ann Arbor. I’m not rushing a commitment but I would look for sometime around the beginning of the season.”

With the pedigree (brother Drew is starting at Maryland) to play football at the highest level, Gloster remains focused on continuing to make his own name and bringing home the elusive WCAC crown. Filling the void of Jelani Jenkins is not going to be easy, but Gloster states he looks forward to the challenge of pulling in some more tackles. After a 60-tackle, nine-sack season, Coach Milloy would love to see the same out of his linebacker.
