We All Know the NBA Game Has Been Infused by International Talent...
by: Chozen1
But I am sure this is the last thing David Stern had in mind when he wanted the NBA to go international. His vision was for NBA teams to play in other coutries not NBA players to play in other countries. Earl Boykins couldnt get on with an NBA team but has become the one the highest paid international players. There has been a thread about this topic and the point was made that, "The players that are going overseas are not the NBA stars." This is the case, at least right now. For money hungry athletes, playing overseas is a great option. They dont have to deal with the heckling fans and there is less pressure.

But I say that David Stern must do something about players leaving. Sure they are just role players, but they are good role players. Basketball purists know that if role players continue to leave, that makes the game top heavy as far as talent in concerned and we see D-League bums that should have given on their NBA dreams a while ago. Then suddenly, I'm watching AND1 ESPN2 re-runs instead of quality NBA role players basketball when the starters are out.

But the only condition that I support NBA players going overseas is DIRECTV guarantees me they can find a way for we to watch the games.
